These are the things I'm trying in life lab this week:
1. Spiritual Director-- I'm meeting with her on Monday. I'm told this experience could range from her listening for me to having me draw prayers to learning spiritual disciplines. More on this later. Since meeting with her I long for silence and am going through a little car radio detox.
2. Tea lattes from Starbucks- the discovery that threatens to make my cheap decaf coffee or green tea habit into an expensive vanilla rooibos soy latte occasion. Amazing.
3. Shampoo without laurel sulfates. A friend convinced me that I need this and sent me to scour the baby shampoo collection at Whole Foods. I believe this will be the 6th bottle of shampoo in my collection at home. Bad over-consumer! Just let me know if you need shampoo. I can set you up.

Anything else I should be trying?

I love how you try new things. I would be wise to take this page of your life and apply it to my own. I'll let you know ; )
my mom has long convinced me that laurel sulfates are "bad for you"...they are harsh chemicals (read bad). thus my husband thinks i'm crazy and we currently use separate shampoos and toothpastes. this may change over time since we are only 2 months in. i did find it ironic when reading how to care for my diamond ring that i should avoid contact with shampoos due to their harsh chemicals. hmmm... maybe mom is right. if its bad for a rock solid diamond, it couldn't be good for my skin either. do you know about parabens? that can lead to additional shopping sprees. however, vitamin cottage/natural grocers has lower prices than whole foods. ;) lots of words about the lesser item on your list. i'm actually quite thrilled about the first...do keep me posted. :)
That's crazy you brought up laurel sulfates. I always wondered why in the winter my ring finger and its neighbors break out in tiny bubbly blisters and flake and crack. UGH Lotion doesn't make it go away, just curbs it a wee bit. Well, turns out it's not so much a chemical reaction to all the metal compounds in my ring as much as the LS in beauty products. Looking at my shampoos, yep 1 I used regularly had it. Cut it out and noticed an improvement. Well, now it's back with a vengeance. Go figure. Come summer it's gone. I'll survive. right?
Should I not use deodorant/APs with aluminum?? Did my granny use them all her life? Is that why she has alzheimers?
